wife is workaholic

My wife is never home. She's either at work or at a conference or a meeting or out with friends. We can afford hired help so there is always dinner and someone to help put the kids to bed but I think this is terribly unfair to our children. My wife claims the children love her and respect her for what she does and they are fine. I think they must be damaged. We constantly fight about this and nothing ever changes.

I think kids need to see their mom regularly. Sometimes this can't happen like when a really poor family has the parents working night shifts or something. But if you're rich, why can't your wife put her kids to bed? People shouldn't have kids if they don't want to raise them. ADD COMMENT

Lots of kids hardly see their dads and yet they love their dads and are hugely influenced by them. I think something else is going on here, like sexism. ADD COMMENT

Perhaps your wife would agree to go with you for a very focused marriage counseling where the two of you could have a safer discussion about this hot topic.
