Yesterday I took my three girls to Borders because the oldest daughter had a gift card. My middle daughter had one dollar to spend and could not find a book she liked for one dollar so she wanted to pick a book she had not interst in just to get a book. I told her no and she had a temper tantrum, right in the school. She hid from me and she had me chasing her throug the store. She had a friend with her as well; so I had my oldest daughter bring my youngest daughter and my middle daughter's friend to the car so I can get my middle daughter out of the store. I ended up carrying her out of the store. Due to her actions, I brought her friend home and told her she could not have a play date until she could show me that she can behave properly. (She tends to out out and talk back to me alot!!). Anyway, my husband tells me I was wrong to bring her friend home, that I was punishing the friend as well by doing this and I should have let her stay and disiplined my daughter for her actions at another time. I believe I did the right thing. What is your advise?
