My 2 year old is unmanageable in public places. If I take him to a store he runs all over the place. In the doctor's office he throws all the books on the floor and is rough with the toys. At home he is always running, climbing, throwing and being physical. He seems to have an endless motor in him. My friends have kids the same age but he is wilder than all of them. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I tell him to be quiet or go slowly or stay near Mommy - he just doesn't care. I also give him consequences for running away in stores (like I put him in his stroller where he doesn't like to be). Nothing changes his behavior. Is there something else I can do?
