You are supposed to get remarried because you have to move forward in your life and show your children a model of healthy adjustments after a crisis you have to move on so you gonna have to do that but you are going to also  have to help our children especially that 12 year old sometimes family counselling before remarriage help us this kinda thing can be very helpful to bring the whole family in and  let everybody discuss things, at least this 12 year old  sounds like she could some professional help to work through her feelings of loss and grief and trauma and fear and all of those feelings are normal your role is to be understanding as a parent to acknowledge that yes I understand that you feel that way and don’t be intimidated rather try and help your child simply by accepting and acknowledging feelings and getting professional help if you think it will help.
