An amicable divorce will not destroy your children, the best thing for children is a very happy marriage, the next best thing for children is a functional marriage at least one that is kind of working in a pleasant business like fashion, the next best thing for children is a marriage in which there is some conflict under that is divorce and lower than that is a highly conflicted or violent unsafe home, so you might in terms of the children’s needs, try  and improve the marriage have you had marriage counselling work your very, very best on it even if you hate your husband now you may be surprised to find that with professional help the two of you might grow closer together, if you have already exhausted that and you cannot see yourself  living with your husband then just work your hardest to have a respectful amicable divorce and give your children the support perhaps the counselling whatever it is they might need to get through it, you’ll all survive.
