| There are a number of techniques you can use - all of them explained in detail in "Raise Your Kids without Raising Your Voice" and on the MP3 downloads on this site. I highly recommend you look at the book or listen to the podcasts. Meanwhile, keep in mind that this behavior is pretty normal for pre-schoolers. Try to take him home before he gets so tired. Give him little warnings 5 minutes apart for the last 15 minutes of his playtime. Encourage him to come by letting him know you have a treat waiting in the car (and bring him something nice each time for the next few months until he internalizes the spirit of cooperation). When he does he come, use the CLeaR method to praise him. Use positive techniques only for awhile and then move on to discipline if he still isn't improving. All of this is explained in detail in the previously mentioned materials. All the best, Sarah Chana
