My 9 year old daughter will not go to sleep on her own.  She is in bed by 8:30 and last night she was still up crying and upset at 10:00.  I am at the end of my rope.  I thought that by the time she was 9 she would be going to bed on her own, she insists she needs someone in the room with her and a light on.  I am tired of this and the bad atttitude she seems to have picked up.  I am a single mom and apparently this is not an issue when she is with her Dad so I am not sure what to do.  I have tried letting her fall asleep listening to stories or watching tv but nothing works and I really so not want to be laying down with her any more.
