| No you're not raising a brat! Toddlers are at the stage where they need to assert their independence - it's actually healthy for them. They don't do what others want them to do (and they say "no" a lot) because they are trying to find THEMSELVES, their own personalities. Part of this can manifest as rudeness to visitors - even beloved grandparents. If your parents and in-laws can't remember when they were dealing with toddlers, then just remind them that this behavior isn't a personal rejection - it's just your child's way of becoming a little person.
