Babies develop according to their own schedule and there is lots of variance in the first months and years. Some babies sit up at 4 mths while others don't sit till 8 months. Some say their first word at 10 mths and some after 2 years old. Some take their first steps at 9 mths and some start walking at 15mths. Similarly, some want food at 4mths and some aren't interested till 13mths or later. The desire for food often correlates with teething, so that the more teeth a baby has the more she seems to want to chew on food. Till then, most babies are quite content with bottle or breast. But don't worry; your baby will be eating eventually, probably sooner rather than later. You need to follow HER cues and foster her own unique development.
