Two year olds enjoy going anywhere with Mom! Just going shopping at the local supermarket is a fun outing for them - especially if you take time to name the fruits and vegetables, point out the eggs, let them pick out the yogurt and so on. Walking in the park is similarly fascinating for little kids, as is walking through an indoor shopping mall. Many cities do have children's drop-in centres for caregivers and toddlers so you can also try to find one of those for an occasional treat for your youngster. At home on a rainy day, a big batch of play dough or real cookie dough can make for a fun afternoon project. Zoos and pet stores are toddler favorites. If you know anyone who teaches preschool, pick their brain for activities to do at home with your youngster - or ask your local librarian to pick out a few books on the subject for you. Toddlers enjoy textures, movement, people and new things. So have lots of fun with your toddler!  Sarah Chana
