My 9 year old son really needs to do his homework - he's weak in almost every subject. But every night it's a battle. He refuses to get his books out, refuses to sit down and refuses to do the work. The only thing that gets him to get serious is when I scream at him and threaten him that he'll lose every privilege he has. Then he finally starts working, but by that time I can see he's a mess and I'm exhausted and to tell you the truth I feel awful. I can't take several more years of this. What is the solution?
