Keep y our relationship with your kids warm and affectionate - for two reasons: 1) a positive relationship causes your kids to be more reluctant to disappoint you or reject your values. 2) a positive relationship makes it less urgent for them to see intimacy prematurely. Also, when you do talk about your values with  your kids, highlight the positive aspects of waiting until marriage. Discuss the downside of have earlier relationships. Since your motivation is religious, continue to encourage your kids to be active in your religious community. Having a like-minded peer group is critical; if your kids are surrounded by young people with a different set of values, it will be much more challenging to keep them on the path you want them to go. There are no guarantees that your children will accept your guidance in this matter, but you can increase the likelihood that they will by following these steps.   Sarah Chana
