lately my 6 yr old niece has changed at home and at school, up until about 3 months ago she was doing really well at school and was always being praised by her teachers but lately her contact book has been full of reports of bad behaviour. we'r now in march 2008 and back in jan this year her dad was very poorly after an opp he spent alot of timein and out of hospital and obviously this changed her daily pattern as people where baby sitting her after school and different ppl picking her from school do you think that this upheavel may have something to do with why she is like this??? since his operation her dad is still at home off work and i think they clash quite a bit due to being together alot. she also has a 2 yr old brother who takes alot of her parents attention. i myself have tried helping by offering treats if she is well behaved, should we continue doing this?? im worried that she is unhappy and what we can do to help her.
